About the Role
The Development Associate will play a key role in supporting Cancer Hope Network’s fundraising efforts through donor stewardship, event coordination, database management, and administrative support of the Executive Director and Director of Development. This position requires a detail-oriented, highly organized professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of people impacted by cancer.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee donor gift processing and stewardship, including logging, entering, coding donations (mail, online, events), and generating timely thank you letters.
Work with the Bookkeeper to run financial and other reports and assist in reconciling each month’s donation and financial databases.
Ensure compliance with the organization’s donor management system policies and procedures.
Create mailing and emailing lists as needed across departments.
Ensure the accuracy, confidentiality, and security of all donor and gift data.
Support campaigns targeting current, lapsed, and prospective donors.
Coordinate special events: manage event logistics, support program outlines, arrange catering, coordinate invitations, track RSVPs, provide day-of event support, and oversee post-event stewardship activities.
Prepare detailed reports related to giving trends, event performance, and campaign effectiveness.
Assist in the creation, distribution, and tracking of fundraising and marketing materials.
Track grant application and reporting deadlines, assisting in organizing related documents and information.
Work collaboratively with the development team and across departments to achieve fundraising goals and organizational objectives.
Take and distribute minutes for all Development-related committee meetings and other Board Committee meetings as requested.
Provide administrative support for both the Director of Development and Executive Director.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in non-profit development/fundraising
Knowledge of Blackbaud RENXT donor management software
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
